Alpha Blend
Our signature blend
TASTING NOTES
The blend presents a full-bodied, syrupy taste of chocolate and dates on the palate, underpinned with a lemongrass sharpness to top it off. In the aroma, there are notes of cocoa and citrus.
Our Alpha Blend is used in all our espresso-based beverages across all three café locations. When creating our house espresso blend, we aimed to develop a coffee that maintained consistent flavour throughout the year without compromising quality or freshness.
We choose components of the blend based on seasonality, compatibility, and terroir – and create roast profiles which accentuate the flavours and characteristics which our regulars and new customers have come to love.
In most cases, coffee is harvested once a year; therefore, components can change based on availability. With the Alpha blend, we ensure they are replaced on a like-for-like basis, focussing on quality and tasting notes, meaning our blend’s signature taste and texture stays the same, regardless.
The current components in Alpha blend are Fazenda Cubica (Brazil) and San Carlos Dos (El Salvador)- these components may change at short notice as new harvests come in.
Works well with all methods; however, we recommend brewing as espresso, Moka Pot, or cafetière for best results.
